Access Your Extension
Click on the FurrTruth icon in your browser's extension toolbar. If you don't see it, click the puzzle piece icon to find it and pin it for easy access.
This opens the control panel where you can customize your experience.
PRO TIP:
Pin the extension to your toolbar for QUICK access - it's the BEST way to toggle it on and off!
ABOUT THE "NOT TRUSTED" WARNING:
When installing, Chrome may show "This extension is not trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing." This is NOT something we control - Google shows this based on arbitrary and unknown rules. Our extension is 100% safe, contains ZERO trackers, and all code runs LOCALLY. There is no way for small developers to "become trusted" or appeal this label.
Customize Your Word Replacements
Add your own custom word pairs to replace ANY names or words with alternatives of YOUR choice!
- Enter the original word (e.g., "Elon Musk")
- Enter your replacement (e.g., "Space Cat")
- Click the blue "+" icon to add the pair
To remove a word pair, simply click the red bin icon next to it.
The extension will now replace all instances of that name or word on websites you visit!
Control Where It Works
You can choose which websites FurrTruth should work on with three settings:
- Always: Run on all websites (except search engines)
- Never On: Run everywhere EXCEPT specific websites you list
- Only On: Only run on specific websites you list
The current domain will be prefilled automatically. You can use it as is or modify it, then click the blue "+" icon to add it to your list.
To remove a domain, click the red bin icon next to it.
IMPORTANT:
FurrTruth NEVER runs on search engines to avoid breaking your search experience!
Global On/Off Switch
The main toggle at the top of the extension popup lets you quickly turn FurrTruth on or off globally.
This is perfect for when you need to temporarily disable all replacements without changing your settings.
Simply click the FurrTruth icon in your toolbar and use the main switch to toggle the extension.

FurrTruth operates 100% locally on your device. We have ZERO trackers, collect NO data, and do NO snooping. Your browsing remains completely private!

If a site looks broken after replacement, just disable FurrTruth for that domain or refresh the page.
